
Scooter knocks out Madonna
Madonna has been knocked off the top of the album charts by new entry Jumping All Over The World by Scooter.
The German techno artists, whose last album came out in 2002, went to number one less than a week after it was released on May 7.
Scooter's success brought an end Madonna's chart double but she has managed to stay at the top of the singles chart with the track 4 Minutes featuring Justin Timberlake.
Madonna's album Hard Candy was pushed to number two ahead of Duffy's Rockferry at three, Sam Sparro's self-titled album at four and Third by Portishead at number five.
Climbing up the singles chart is Wiley, Wearing My Rolex at number two and Sam Sparro at number three with Black & Gold.
Will.I.Am featuring Cheryl Cole is up one position with the single Heartbreaker but Usher's Love In This Club, featuring Young Jeezy dropped to five.
Coldplay's new single Violet Hill is in at eight, while British rockers Def Leppard enter the album charts at 10 with 10 Songs From The Sparkle Lounge.
