Anelka rejects transfer talk

Nicolas Anelka has admitted his frustration at Chelsea but says he will not leave this summer.

The France striker moved to Stamford Bridge from Bolton in January but Chelsea manager Avram Grant usually plays him in an unfamiliar position on the wing.

"There is no point moving again because we contest the Champions League and Premier League title" - Nicolas Anelka

As a result, Anelka has only scored one Premier League goal for Chelsea.

He said: "I am staying. Chelsea are one of the biggest clubs in the world so there's no point moving again because we contest the Champions League and Premier League title.

"I have moved too many times. Even if I am on the bench, I am glad to be here. I am still new to the club. I try to do my best when the manager asks.

"I really hope I start more games next season. I hope I will play in my best position."

Anelka's cause might be helped if Didier Drogba leaves, as is widely expected.

Anelka added: "When I play in my best position, I will produce my best but when I play on the right or on the left it's difficult because I have never played in these positions before."
