Tunstall to wed drummer

Singer KT Tunstall is to marry her drummer boyfriend after he surprised her with a fairytale proposal on Christmas Day.

The rocker revealed the happy news to her fans on her website, and described how her musician beau Luke Bullen turned up at her adoptive parents home to pop the question.

Bullen had fooled Tunstall by calling her on Christmas Eve and pretending he was with friends in Norwich, when he was actually in a bar in Edinburgh with her brother.

The 32-year-old described her shock when he turned up the next day, writing: "So, 11 o'clock on Christmas morning, the doorbell goes and it's Luke suited and booted. With all his bags. And a little box. Wrapped with a ribbon. He proposed!"

She added: "Being an opportunist, I obviously said yes! It feels smashing. Keep an eye out for a little sparkle as I'm playing those chords."

Tunstall also revealed that Bullen, 34, had secretly visited her parents a month earlier to ask their permission.

The couple plan to marry this year.
