It's the end of the X Factor road for Andy Williams, but he reckons one of his mentor's other acts could go all the way.

The 23-year-old joined school teacher Beverley Trotman in the bottom two on Saturday night.

Judges Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Cowell decided to send Williams home after Walsh claimed he had already peaked in the competition.

But Williams believes Dannii Minogue has "a hell of a chance" of winning the TV talent show with one of her two remaining acts.

The lad from Newport said: "She really puts a lot of effort into it - a lot more than the other judges. She just genuinely wants to win."

His exit leaves the Aussie singer with Welshman Rydian Roberts and Leon Jackson from Scotland up against just five other remaining acts.
