'Gutsy' Mills wows US judges
Heather Mills has been praised on US TV show Dancing With The Stars, as the first contestant to perform with an artificial leg.
The campaigner, currently embroiled in a bitter divorce from Sir Paul McCartney, was only criticised for her upper body movements in the American version of Strictly Come Dancing.
She managed to score 18 out of 30 marks for her Foxtrot with dance partner Jonathan Roberts, putting the pair in seventh place out of 11 couples.
Mills, dressed in a flowing sequinned pink and yellow dress with pink elbow-length gloves, said: "I'm just glad I didn't fall over. I thought I'd be the lowest so I'm pleased."
The judges applauded her decision to enter the competition despite only having one leg, and said her main problems had been above the waist.
Judge Bruno Tonioli told the 38-year-old: "You've got more guts than Rambo."
But he added: "The thing to pick on was actually the top half. Watch your frame, neck to shoulder frame."
Felloe judge Len Goodman said: "There was far more right about that routine than there was wrong", insisting she would be judged by exactly the same standards as the other dancers.
The highest score went to former N'Sync star Joey Fatone, who got 24 points for the Cha Cha Cha.
