Three die in horror crash

Three people died in a horrific crash after their car swerved off a motorway in the early hours of the morning.

Two men and a woman were pronounced dead after the blue Ford Focus left the M20 near Swanley in Kent and careered into a field.

Two other people were also travelling with them at the time but they escaped fatal injuries.

Kent Police closed the motorway and diverted traffic away from the area for more than six hours as emergency services worked at the scene.

A police spokesman said the accident happened when the car left the M20 just after junction two on the London-bound carriageway.

No other vehicles were involved and no details of the deceased have been released.
