Sir Alex Ferguson has asked Uefa to investigate how a laser beam dazzled Cristiano Ronaldo during Manchester United's 1-1 draw in Lyon.
It appears a supporter aimed the beam at Ronaldo in an attempt to distract him during the Champions League second round first leg match and Lyon could face an investigation.
"We reported the matter to Uefa before the game" - Sir Alex Ferguson
Ferguson said: "We reported the matter to Uefa before the game.
"We noticed it in the warm-up and they are aware of it."
Star striker Karim Benzema gave Lyon the lead, but Carlos Tevez came on as a substitute and equalised.
Ferguson added: "This has given us a good opportunity to qualify."
