Ireland have begun their Six Nations campaign with victory - beating Italy 16-11 at Croke Park.
In a tight game, the home side took the advantage with a well-worked try from Girvan Dempsey after 18 minutes.

But a dogged Italy side made life tough for the Irish, who relied on the boot of Ronan O'Gara to stay in charge.
Italy skipper Sergio Parisse powered over from close range on the hour for a try which brought Italy right back into the game and ultimately Ireland were forced to hang for victory.
The lacklustre performance received a muted reception from supporters and does little to relieve the gloom that descended over Irish rugby after a poor showing at the World Cup.
