Two die in helicopter crash

Two people have died in a helicopter crash in Yorkshire.

The civilian aircraft came down at Rudding Park Golf Club, near Harrogate.

Two ambulances attended the scene of the accident at the luxury hotel and golf resort located just south of Harrogate

Police have not yet released the identities of the deceased.

Past guests have included former US presidents Bill Clinton and George Bush Senior, former president of the USSR Mikhail Gorbachev and Arch Bishop Desmond Tutu.

The 2,000-acre estate has a helipad within its grounds and the landlord of a nearby pub said flights over the hotel occur daily.
