Queen duo to play Mandela birthday gig
Updated 06.47 Fri Aug 31 2007
Queen members Brian May and Roger Taylor are planning to perform at a charity concert to mark Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday in London.
The gig is being organised to help raise awareness of the former South African president's 46664 HIV Aids campaign.
The concert is expected to be held on June 27 next year
It was first set up in 2003 by May and Taylor, along with Dave Stewart and Bono, to help people fight the disease.
The concert is expected to be held on June 27 next year.
The 46664 campaign was named after the prison number Mandela was assigned during his 18-year-sentence on Robben Island in South Africa.
Bono and Beyonce Knowles headlined the first South African concert in November 2003.
