Dyer joins West Ham
Kieron Dyer has completed his move from Newcastle to West Ham.
The England midfielder agreed to the move two weeks ago and passed a medical but the transfer was called off when Newcastle tried to renegotiate the transfer fee.
Now a deal has been struck and Dyer is officially a West Ham player.
West Ham boss Alan Curbishley said: "We're trying to build a squad here, we are short in the middle, and Kieron can play that position.
"Newcastle changed it at the last minute before, so that was disappointing.
"But common sense has prevailed, Kieron is looking forward to joining us, and Newcastle go down their route."
Dyer links up with Lee Bowyer two years after they were both sent off for fighting with each other during a Newcastle match.
Curbishley added: "I spoke to both players and have been assured that it was a one-off, and they both speak to each other regularly.
"It was just two players desperate to do well, they were getting well beaten, and it just boiled over.
"Kieron's got to make up for a bit of lost time, and I hope he does. We're delighted to have him on board."
Curbishley has also confirmed the Hammers have tried to sign Eidur Gudjohnsen from Barcelona and Derby's Giles Barnes.
He said: "Eidur Gudjohnsen is not fit and is battling away to get fit, so there is nothing in it at the moment. He's a Barcelona player.
"We did inquire about Giles Barnes, we made an offer, and it was rejected. We are entitled to make bids for players. He's injured as well at the moment, and Derby want to keep him.
"But the transfer window is still open, and we are still active. We're still short in one or two areas."
