Heather criticised for campaigning

Newspapers have accused Heather Mills McCartney of seeking attention for the wrong reasons.

The estranged wife of Sir Paul McCartney has been criticised for overshadowing the charities she is campaigning for during her very public and bitter divorce from the ex-Beatle.

"I've got to get on. Paul's gone and done his hundreds of things, and I need to get on with my charity campaigns" - Heather Mills McCartney

Her most recent campaign saw her go undercover to expose cruelty to pigs but the former model insists that she is just getting on with her life.

"I've got to get on. Paul's gone and done his hundreds of things, and I need to get on with my charity campaigns," she said.

"Everywhere I go apart from this tiny percentage of Beatle nutters, people are supportive, they can relate to what it's like to go through a divorce, how horrific it is."

Since starting divorce proceedings, the 38-year-old has been accused of being a hypocrite and a gold-digger.

But she feels the negative coverage has always followed her: "I had that when I married him it's not like it just came when I left, it's just intensified."
