Shreveport Police Sergeant Willie Lewis said a call to deal with a rowdy customer caused others to get involved.

But police could not say whether Brolin or the other people arrested had been released.

A local newspaper said the other people arrested were part of the crew on a Stone film, titled W, about US President George W Bush, that began filming in the city in May.

In the film, Brolin plays Bush and Wright plays US Secretary of State Colin Powell.

The cast also includes Elizabeth Banks as First Lady, Laura Bush, Ellen Burstyn and James Cromwell as the elder Bushes and Thandie Newton as US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

Last year Brolin starred in three films; In the Valley of Elah, American Gangster and No Country for Old Men, which won the best picture Oscar.
