Former Thai PM ends 17 month exile
Manchester City owner and former Thai prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra has flown back to Thailand after 17 months in exile.
Mr Shinawatra was clearly emotional as he arrived back in his home country, and one supporter is thrilled to have him back.
He said: "I'm was very sorry for him because he was bullied, he's a good man and I will do whatever I can to help him to become the prime minister again."
Demonstrations against Mr Shinawatra led to a military coup in 2006 that deposed him while he was abroad.
He still faces years in jail for corruption after allegations that he concealed ownership of shares in a family business.
Mr Shinawatra claims the charges have been fabricated by his enemies.
