SATC 'not just for girls'

Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker says the forthcoming film isn't just another girly flick.

The feature-length movie based on the TV series about the love lives of four women in New York opens in UK cinemas on May 28.

It reunites the original cast of Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis.

Parker, who plays columnist Carrie Bradshaw, said: "The thing that's been most gratifying so far with just the limited amount of people that have seen it is all the straight men who have confessed to really being moved by it and enjoying it so much, even many men who have never seen the series.

"I really think it's not about any one specific gender.

"It's really about love and forgiveness and being a grown up and learning to take responsibility and that's for all of us."
