Stars battle it out at TV awards
Some of Britain's best-loved TV stars lit up the red carpet for the TVQuick and TVChoice Awards, held at London's Dorchester Hotel.
Famous faces from the nation's favourite soaps, dramas and reality television shows battled it out to win the top prizes with Doctor Who and EastEnders coming out as big winners.
David Tennant, 37, won Best Actor for the second consecutive year for his role as the Time Lord in Doctor Who.
Catherine Tate, 40, picked up Best Actress for her turn as the Doctor's companion Donna Noble and the sci-fi show itself was named Best Loved Drama for the third year.
Ant and Dec were presented with Best Entertainment Show for the second consecutive year, with ITV1's Saturday Night Takeaway beating The Friday Night Project, Friday Night with Jonathan Ross and Harry Hill's TV Burp.
Receiving their award, Ant and Dec took the opportunity to address the controversy surrounding the 2005 people's choice British Comedy Award they were forced to hand over to rightful winner Catherine Tate in May of this year.
EastEnders beat out rivals Coronation Street and Emmerdale to Best Soap at the awards hosted by comedian and actor Ben Miller.
Charlie Clements, 21, who plays Bradley Branning in the soap, had cause for double celebration after he picked up the award for Best Soap Actor for the second consecutive year and Best Soap for EastEnders.
He said: "It's always good for the show to win, it's recognition for the show as a whole, for everyone behind the camera as well, it's a hard slog so it's great that it's paid off."
Ballroom dancing show Strictly Come Dancing won Best Talent Show, over its Saturday night rival the X Factor as well as Britain's Got Talent and Dancing on Ice.
Best Reality Show went to The Apprentice, over Big Brother and I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!
Top Gear took Best Lifestyle Show and ITV's Benidorm Best Comedy.
Coronation Street's Michelle Keegan (Tina McIntyre) won Best Soap Newcomer.
