Teen shot in face in south London

A youth is critically ill in hospital after he was shot in south London on Christmas Eve.

Police officers were called to the shooting in Garton Way, Wandsworth, shortly after 6pm on Monday.

Two suspects were seen running from the scene, but no one has yet been arrested.

Armed officers immediately searched the area and a forensic examination is taking place, a police spokesman said.
