The Game, whose real name is Jayceon Terrell Taylor, was also given three years' probation and 150 hours of community service as part of a plea bargain.

Opposing player Rodrick Shannon told a hearing in September the rapper had hit him then grabbed a gun from his car and threatened him with it during the game at Rita Walters Educational Complex in Los Angeles.

In 2006 the rapper got in trouble for impersonating a police officer and was given a conditional discharge at a court in New York last year.
