Game begins term behind bars
US rapper The Game has started his jail sentence for firearm possession.
The hip hop star was ordered to serve 60 days behind bars after being convicted last month following an incident in which he allegedly pulled a gun on a player during a basketball game.
The 28-year-old turned himself in to the Twin Towers Correctional Facility, according to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department.
The Game, whose real name is Jayceon Terrell Taylor, was also given three years' probation and 150 hours of community service as part of a plea bargain.
Opposing player Rodrick Shannon told a hearing in September the rapper had hit him then grabbed a gun from his car and threatened him with it during the game at Rita Walters Educational Complex in Los Angeles.
In 2006 the rapper got in trouble for impersonating a police officer and was given a conditional discharge at a court in New York last year.
