Beckham gets bonding in US

David Beckham may not have made friends with US soccer fans quite yet but he has been bonding with his LA Galaxy team mates.

The football star hasn't been on the pitch much since joining the US side because of an ankle problem but he has managed to attend a team barbecue at the weekend with the players, friends and families.

Golden Balls has been keeping his fans across the world up-to-date with his Stateside shenanigans, through a blog on his website.

He wrote he had a fantastic time at the event and that it was a great opportunity for him to get to know his fellow players and for their kids to make friends.

Although Beckham hasn't been able to play in Galaxy's last couple of matches he writes that he did get to ride in the team's coach and sat in the locker room with them before their game.

Meanwhile, the soccer ace promises his fans he's been working hard in the gym to try and get fit again so he can take part in future games.
