Rocky star Sylvester Stallone has reportedly had his hotel room, private plane and limousine searched just days after he was held up by security in Australia.

The searches were carried out after prohibited items were seized from his luggage at Sydney airport.

Customs did not reveal any details of the seized items and a spokeswoman refused to comment on reports of further searches.

Stallone said: "To (customs) it's major, but it's really minor stuff. I just made a mistake."

Sly was in Australia to promote his new Rocky film.

The 60-year-old eventually left Australia, after a three-hour delay, to begin filming the fourth film in his Rambo series, Pearl of the Cobra.
