Hospital staff suspended over Clooney leak
A group of 27 staff members at the US hospital where actor George Clooney was treated, have been suspended for peeking at his medical records.
The 46-year-old was being treated at the Palisades Medical Centre in New Jersey after coming off his motorbike along with his new girlfriend Sarah Larson.
Suspicions were raised when news of the accident hit headlines worldwide in record speed.
The medical staff have been suspended without pay for a month for allegedly sneaking a peek at the Hollywood star's confidential records.
The smash happened on September 21 and left the heart-throb with a fractured rib and his partner Sarah with a broken foot.
In a statement, the Michael Clayton star said: "While I very much believe in a patient's right to privacy, I would hope that this could be settled without suspending medical workers."
