Bentley completes Spurs move
David Bentley has joined Tottenham from Blackburn in a £17 million deal.
The England midfielder, who started his career at Tottenham's rivals Arsenal, becomes the fourth Spurs signing of the summer joining Luka Modric, Heurelho Gomes and Giovani dos Santos at White Hart Lane.
Bentley has agreed a contract that could last until 2014.
Bentley said: "It means the world to join Tottenham. Gazza was my favourite player, all my mates are Tottenham fans and there's a piece of my heart at this club.
"I didn't think they would be interested in me and when it became available there was nowhere else I wanted to go."
Earlier this summer, Bentley announced he wanted to leave Blackburn to play regular football in European competition and he will get the chance to appear in the Uefa Cup at Spurs.
Meanwhile, Jermaine Jenas and Michael Dawson have signed one-year contract extensions with Tottenham.
But Pascal Chimbonda, Teemu Tainio, Steed Malbranque, Younes Kaboul and Anthony Gardner have all left this summer.
