Bush plays father of the bride
George Bush is putting his presidential duties on the back burner as he celebrates his daughter's wedding.
Jenna Bush is getting married on Saturday evening to former Bush administration aide Henry Hager.
Only about 200 or so people will enjoy the tented outdoor wedding ceremony, dinner and dance at the presidential family's ranch in Crawford, Texas - known as the western White House.
The 26-year-old bride will wear an Oscar de la Renta gown with a small train.
Her twin sister Barbara will be her maid of honour and 14 attendants will wear tea-length dresses.
Beyond these few details, the White House and first family have treated Jenna's wedding as a state secret.
The wedding is a private, family affair. The White House has issued no press releases and the ceremony and reception are closed to news cameras.
For Crawford, the wedding is the social event of the year.
Residents and businesses have been busy preparing for Saturday's expected influx of tourists who hope to catch a glimpse of the bride.
There are references to the big day throughout the town, including an 18-foot (5m) metal sculpture of an angel with a white wedding veil.
It was gifted to Crawford in 2004, and is appropriately titled Freedom's Angel of Steadfast Love.
But not everyone is getting caught up in the wedding fever.
"Well, I couldn't care less. They're just another couple as far as I'm concerned," antique dealer Edgar Farris said.
