Doctor Who lands big money deal

David Tennant has reportedly agreed a massive deal to star in the fourth series of Doctor Who.

The Scottish actor took over from Christopher Eccleston as the time-travelling hero in 2005.

There were rumours he was going to quit half way through next year's run, but a one million pound deal has apparently persuaded him to continue in the role

David Tennant and his new assistant, played by Freema Agyeman, are set to return to our screens with series three of the popular show.

Agyeman takes over as Doctor Who's assistant from Billie Piper.
