Everton beat Man City

Everton's dream of a place in the Champions League are alive after a 2-0 victory over Manchester City.

Star striker Ayegbeni Yakubu took his tally for the season to 16 goals with the first strike in the 30th minute.

And Joleon Lescott sealed victory for the Toffees eight minutes later.

The win meant Everton regained fourth spot from Liverpool.

Everton's fluent display gives them a seven-match unbeaten run in the Barclays Premier League.

But City looked nothing like the side that beat Manchester United and their misery was complete when Martin Petrov was sent off for kicking out at Leon Osman in extra time.
