World's most obese man celebrates

One of the World's most obese men has celebrated his 43rd birthday with a trip outside his front door.

It is the third time in six years Manuel Uribe made a trip outside his front door for a fiesta to celebrate his birthday with his friends and fiancee Claudia.

Mr Uribe who lives in Monterrey, Mexico says all he wants is to be able to walk again, but given that he weighs the same as three baby elephants, that could take some time.

Mr Uribe's weight ballooned to 88 St 3lbs during the 1990s when he was working as a computer repairman.

Whilst doing that job he ate pizzas, burgers and tacos and earned the title of the World's Heaviest Man.

He decided to change his ways two years ago and switched to a diet of egg white omelettes, fish and chicken. He has now slimmed down to 44 St.
