French aid workers murdered in Rio

Three French aid workers have been stabbed to death in their Rio de Janeiro apartment.
The bodies of two men and a woman were found in the flat near Copacabana Beach in the crime-ridden Brazilian city after an apparent break-in and robbery, police said.
Rio has a murder rate of about 40 per 100,000 people per year, which is one of the highest in Latin America
Police believe a safe box was stolen from the apartment.
The French consulate said it had no further details.
