U2 guitarist The Edge has paid almost £7.5 million for a house on the Californian coast, according to a US newspaper.
The 120-acre property is in the upmarket beach resort of Malibu.
The Edge, whose real name is Dave Evans, already has homes in Ireland and France
The Irish rocker's new acquisition - based in a canyon rather than on prime oceanfront - boasts a cottage and a creek, the paper added.

Meanwhile, The Edge has auctioned off his beloved Gibson Les Paul guitar to benefit musicians who lost everything in Hurricane Katrina.
It fetched £120,000 and U2 frontman Bono's sunglasses pulled in a further £10,000.
