Take That prove Patience pays off

Frontman Alex Turner said of their album win: "We're thrilled to receive the award. We've had a lot of recognition but no doubt that this is very special award much appreciated by us all."
Las Vegas group The Killers had a double win with best International Album for Sam's Town and best International Group.
Hellraising singer Amy Winehouse was the female star of the ceremony winning British Female Solo Artist.

Oasis were honoured with an Outstanding Contribution to Music award.
The band closed the night by performing some of their most famous hits - Cigarettes and Alcohol, Morning Glory, Don't Look Back in Anger, and Rock and Roll Star.
