Corrie to defend best soap title
The Inside Soap nominations are out and Coronation Street is up again to defend its best soap crown.
The ITV1 show picked up the prize for the first time at the 2007 ceremony.
This year, it will be up against EastEnders, Emmerdale, Hollyoaks, Home and Away and Neighbours in 12 different categories, voted by the readers of Inside Soap magazine.
Coronation Street's Jack P Shepherd leads the pack with four nominations, including best actor.
He's up against EastEnders star Jake Wood, Emmerdale's Kelvin Fletcher, Hollyoaks' Chris Fountain, Home and Away's Ray Meagher and Stefan Dennis from Neighbours.
Meanwhile, Coronation Street's Kym Ryder, who's earned two nominations, joins EastEnders' Lacey Turner, Emmerdale's Charlotte Bellamy, Hollyoaks' Jessica Fox, Lynne McGranger from Home and Away and Jackie Woodburne from Neighbours in the best actress category.
The ceremony will take place in London on September 29.
