Victoria does Vogue
Victoria Beckham has officially become a fashion icon, with a little help from Vogue.
The Spice Girl is appearing on the April cover of the famous fashion bible draped in diamonds.
In the accompanying 12-page spread, the singer reveals: "It's tough being a pop star and a footballer's wife."
Vogue transformed the 33-year-old for the shoot, giving her a glamorous 1940s look.
In place of her usual skin-tight dresses and oversized sunglasses, Beckham is dressed in a delicate, hand-painted tulle gown by Dolce & Gabbana.
The pictures were taken by top photographer Nick Knight and Beckham said the shoot was one of the most exciting days of her life.
In the accompanying interview, Beckham talks about her figure, her marriage and her new career as a fashion designer.
She revealed her footballer husband David is fully behind her new direction in life: "He supports me, and I think it is very important in a relationship that a man doesn't suppress his wife or girlfriend."
Beckham was also asked about the rumours surrounding her husband and his former personal assistant, Rebecca Loos.
She replied: "I've had my share of bad press and heartache and all sorts of things and it sort of kills you or makes you stronger."
