Husband in court over wife's murder

A businessman has appeared in court charged with murdering his wife nearly nine years ago.
Martin Hale, from Thames Ditton, Surrey, is accused of killing mother-of-five Maureen Hale, who disappeared in June 1999.

Hale, 51, was remanded into custody at Kingston upon Thames Magistrates' Court in south west London.
He will reappear at the same court on September 25.
