Judge to rule on McCartney settlement
A High Court judge will decide how much Heather Mills should receive from Sir Paul McCartney's reputed £825 million fortune.
Mr Justice Bennett will determine how the spoils of their four-year marriage should be split, after the couple spent a week and a day in court behind closed doors.
Nicholas Mostyn QC, who has been representing the former Beatle, agreed that the judge had reserved his ruling.
This means rumours the couple had reached a settlement at the weekend were unfounded.
Sir Paul was not in court today and is believed to be rehearsing for the Brit Awards on Wednesday where he will perform a medley of his hits.
Mr Justice Bennett's outcome will follow in a few weeks. It will be binding on both Sir Paul and Ms Mills but can be challenged at the Court of Appeal.
