Dance star Cole lands new role
Strictly Come Dancing star Brendan Cole is set to return to TV in a reality show that doesn't involve a single dance move.
Instead of competing on the dance floor, Cole will be battle it out for a chance to become a crime writer in Murder Most Famous.
The 31-year-old will join five other celebrities, thought to include ex Sun editor Kelvin MacKenzie, who will be taught how to solve murders by police officers and pathologists.
The group will be assigned challenges in the art of murder detection and the winning celeb will get the chance to write a crime novel that will be published by PanMacmillan on World Book Day in 2009.
The celebrities will also be trained in dog tracking, learning the signs of resisting violent attack, and gleaning evidence from autopsies and will also have to use the new skills they have learnt from real criminals and victims, to complete daily writing challenges.
Best-selling British author Minette Walters, who has sold 20 million copies of her thrillers, will act as the celebrities' mentor and "bump off" the least impressive wannabe author at the end of each day.
