Doubts over Blades boss' future
Neil Warnock has revealed that he would like to continue managing in English football's top flight following Sheffield United's relegation from the Premiership.
The Blades have made an immediate return ot the Championship after suffering a 2-1 defeat at home to Wigan Athletic on the final day of the season.
And Warnock has cast doubt over whether he will still be in charge of the club he supports when the new campaign kicks off in August.
The 58-year-old, who has been in the Bramall Lane hotseat for almost eight years, said: "I want to manage for a couple of years, in the Premier League if I can. It makes it more difficult because we've been relegated. It's a lot to swallow in just a short space of time."
Assistant boss Stuart McCall believes that Warnock has taken charge of his final match as Sheffield United manager.
McCall said: "Neil (Warnock) has a meeting with the chairman in the next 48 hours and then we'll see what happens at Sheffield United."
He continued: "From a personal point of view, I thought that if we did get relegated then it would be Neil's last season at Sheffield because of what he has achieved. It wouldn't surprise me if that was the gaffer's last game in charge."
