Murray drops out of top ten
Andy Murray has dropped out of the world's top ten players after his disappointing performance at the Australian Open.
The 20-year-old British number one began the season in fine form with victory at the Qatar Open but crashed out in the first round at Melbourne Park to eventual finalist Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
As a result, the Scot has dropped from ninth to 12th in the latest ATP rankings, while his French conqueror has risen 20 places to 18th.
Serbia's Novak Djokovic, who won the men's singles crown on Sunday, remains in third behind number one Roger Federer - whom he beat in the semi-finals - and Rafael Nadal.
Women's champion Maria Sharapova stays fifth in the rankings, three places behind beaten finalist Ana Ivanovic.
Justine Henin is still the top-ranked woman despite losing to Sharapova in the quarter-finals.
