The Kate and Pete show
Kate Moss made a surprise on-stage appearance at the first of Pete Doherty's music hall gigs in London last night.
The supermodel is understood to have flown back from meetings in America, specifically to attend the concert which aimed to resurrect Doherty's ailing music career.
The Babyshambles frontman described Kate Moss as his "fiancee" when he dedicated a song to her during the gig.
As he introduced the track 'What Katie Did' , he said: "I am dedicating this song..." before the crowds interrupted him to shout "Kate, Kate".
The singer then replied: "Yes, to my fiancee."
Moss then appeared on stage to sing a chorus of La Belle et Bête.
Doherty, notorious for cancelling concerts, appeared to have turned over a new leaf - he arrived promptly on time solo gig at the Hackney Empire and was described by one journalist as "potently healthy and lucid".
According to reports the musician won as much praise from fans for his intricate guitar playing as for his impassioned vocals.
The impromptu double act came during An Evening with Peter Doherty, billed as a show including "poetry, readings and acoustic songs" and some "very special guests".
Moss and Doherty's rocky on-off relationship has been well-documented since they met at her 31st birthday party at the model's home in Primrose Hill, north London, in January 2005.
The couple revealed their engagement in October last year and speculation about when and where they will marry has been rife ever since.
