Spurs reach last eight
Free-scoring Tottenham grabbed three goals as they reached the UEFA Cup quarterfinals, but Rangers were knocked out.
Spurs clinched a 6-4 aggregate win over the Portuguese club Braga by winning the second leg of their tie 3-2 at White Hart Lane, with Dimitar Berbatov scoring twice and Steed Malbranque adding a crucial third, taking the team's total to 23 goals in seven games.
Berbatov said: "I think we deserved it. We played well, we are a bit tired but we did the job. We have qualified.
"Now we go to the next game, and the next game. We are tired but glad to be in the next phase."
Rangers paid for a 1-1 first leg draw at Ibrox as they were beaten 1-0 by Osasuna in Spain and suffered a 2-1 aggregate defeat.
Manager Walter Smith said: "We are obviously disappointed. After a poor first leg performance, we hoped to do better."
Pierre Webo scored the only goal of the second leg in Pamplona.
Osasuna coach Jose Angel Ziganda said: "I think we deserve credit because we played better in both games.
"This has been one of the better performances we have given.
"I think we surprised Rangers at Ibrox, and we took advantage of a big atmosphere here, a British-style atmosphere, and it was good for the team."
