Jose Mourinho has confirmed he would be willing to talk to the FA about the vacant England manager's job.

The former Chelsea boss is currently unemployed and he has emerged as the fans' favourite to replace Steve McClaren.

"We will have to wait and see but I rule nothing out" - Jose Mourinho

He previously said he would consider international management at the end of his career but it appears his head may be turned by the chance to lead England at the 2010 World Cup.

Mourinho said: "You will have to speak to the FA to see if they are interested in offering me the job.

"I cannot say what I think until they say they are interested. Tell the FA to come and get me.

"We will have to wait and see, but I rule nothing out."

FA chief executive Brian Barwick has been given the task of finding England's next manager and he is expected to take advice from some of Mourinho's former rivals in the Premier League, including Arsene Wenger and Sir Alex Ferguson.
