Rapper 50 Cent has become the most high-profile artist to perform in Kosovo, after playing to 25,000 fans.

The In Da Club star steered clear of politicial issues as he entertained the sell-out crowd at a football soccer stadium in the capital, Pristina.

The 32-year-old - real name Curtis Jackson - is currently touring Europe to promote his latest album, Curtis

The rapper said: "I won't get a chance to see the world, like the entire world, unless I go everywhere. I see my music break through language barriers.

"I've been to Iraq. I performed for the soldiers. I've been to Israel. I've been to Beirut. They actually bombed the week after I left."

Speaking of the past tensions in Kosovo, he added: "I know exactly what happens when the guns come out. Maybe that's why they (identify) with me."
