
Tories double lead over Labour

The Conservatives have doubled their lead over Labour to ten points, according to a new poll.
The YouGov survey put David Cameron's Tories on 43 per cent - two points up since the last poll a fortnight ago.

Labour dropped two points and are now on 33 per cent.
The Liberal Democrats under new leader Nick Clegg have dropped one point to 14 per cent.
The survey also indicated widespread gloom over the economy, with 21 per cent saying the economy will not grow in 2008 and 22 per cent predicting a recession.
Some 41 per cent of the 2,139 voters polled said they expected to become worse off this year and 32 per cent thought house prices would fall.
