Barca prepare to sell stars

Updated 09.57 Wed Jun 18 2008

Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has invited offers for Ronaldinho, Samuel Eto'o and Deco.

Guardiola has replaced Frank Rijkaard at the Nou Camp and he confirmed three of the stars that helped the team win the Champions League in 2006 will be allowed to leave.

"We figure the team without them" - Pep Guardiola

He said: "We are putting a team together with the technical secretary with an idea, with the players we have and within these players.

"Ronaldinho, Samuel Eto'o and Deco are not included today but, negotiations are negotiations and football is football.

"We figure the team without them."

Guardiola's comments are bound to excite Manchester City owner Thaksin Shinawatra, who has made it clear he wants to sign Ronaldinho.

But various reports have suggested the former world player of the year could join Milan or LA Galaxy.

Deco has been linked with Chelsea, where he would be able to work with the current Portugal coach Luiz Felipe Scolari.
