Thaksin to hand Sven more City funds
Sven-Goran Eriksson is set to be handed more funds to further bolster his Manchester City squad when the transfer window reopens in January.
Owner Thaksin Shinawatra has already given the Swede £40 million to revive City's fortunes and he has not disappointed.
Eriksson's men head to Chelsea this weekend third in the Premier League, three points behind leaders Arsenal.
But both manager and owner know there is still much work to be done if the men from the City of Manchester Stadium are to maintain their impressive start to the campaign.
Former Thai prime minister Thaksin has been quoted as saying: "There is no doubt that I trust Sven to spend my money well and it is our duty to find it. His track record has been brilliant so far.
"There were those who questioned us when we appointed Sven as manager but they are not doing so now. So far, he has proved to be a perfect choice."
