Hollywood star John Travolta is not only back on the big screen in his dancing shoes, he also appears dressed as a woman!

Cult classic Hairspray has been revamped with a star-studded cast including Michelle Pfeiffer, Queen Latifah, Christopher Walken and casts newcomer Nikki Blonsky in the lead role.

The 18-year-old had originally auditioned for the stage version of the film but was soon snapped up to work alongside some of Hollywood's best known stars.

Blonsky may be new to the world of showbiz but she still managed to impress everyone on set according to co-star Travolta.

Film-goers will be able to see the 53-year-old in a whole new light. The Wild Hogs star had to don a fat suit and inches of make-up to become Edna Turnblad.
