Uefa will investigate allegations of racist chants during the Champions League qualifier between FK Zeta and Rangers in Montenegro.

It is claimed Rangers winger DaMarcus Beasley and striker Jean-Claude Darcheville were subjected to taunts by the home fans during the second leg of the tie in Podgorica.

"We have enough circumstantial evidence to begin our investigation" - William Gaillard

United States international Beasley scored the only goal of the game in the 81st minute to earn a 3-0 aggregate win.

Uefa director of communications William Gaillard said: "We haven't yet received the report from our delegate but we have enough circumstantial evidence to begin our investigation.

"Our policy is zero tolerance against racism.

"The control and disciplinary body is an independent commission and it is for them to decide, but it is one of our priorities to eradicate this, it is a major concern."

The investigation could be completed within a fortnight.
