Villa fight to earn Everton draw
John Carew scored a late equaliser for Aston Villa in a thrilling 2-2 draw at Everton.
With both teams battling to qualify for the Uefa Cup, they produced an end-to-end match.
Everton took the lead when Martin Laursen deflected Phil Neville's tame shot from the edge of the penalty area into his own net.
But Gabriel Agbonlahor equalised with a right foot shot from close range when a Villa corner bounced in the penalty area with ten minutes.
Joseph Yobo thought he had scored the winner six minutes from time when he blasted the ball in from close range.
But Carew showed his strength when he headed home from Gareth Barry's cross one minute later.
Everton remain fifth in the Premier League, three points ahead of Villa, who are sixth with two games to play.
