Portugal beat Czechs

Cristiano Ronaldo scored one goal and set up another as Portugal beat the Czech Republic 3-1 at Euro 2008.

The victory at the Stade de Geneve puts Portugal on top of group A with six points and within touching distance of a quarter-final place.

Czech winger Libor Sionko equalised nine minutes later after winning a corner then powering a header past Ricardo.

Ronaldo struck in the 63rd minute with a firm shot from a pass by Deco.

The prolific Manchester United striker then unselfishly set up Ricardo Quaresma to add a third goal for Portugal in stoppage time.
