The BBC has admitted two more phone-in cons, this time involving Russell Brand and Jo Whiley.

A recording of Mr Brand's 6Music radio show was billed as live but was in fact pre-recorded, and a BBC employee posed as a competition winner.

Listeners who tried to take part stood no chance of winning.

Radio 1 star Jo Whiley's show has been found guilty of faking a competition participant for a second time.

Production staff conjured up a name for a competition entrant.

The incident happened three weeks after another fake winner was put on air.
