Babies race for championship in Lithuania
Lithuanian babies have battling for the title of "fastest crawler in the land".
Twenty babies aged between six and ten months took on a challenging 4-metre race track in a shopping centre in Lithuania.
The competition, which is in its eighth year, is held to commemorate International Child Protection Day.
Organiser Loreta Stakauskaite said: "There are many babies with their parents and we are expecting to beat past results by former competitions."
The ten boys and ten girls raced towards their parents who were waving favourite toys and flapping their arms to entice their children to the finish line.
The winner was nine-month-old Martynas Juozas Adomavicius who took only nine seconds to scramble across the course to his mother's arms.
His father Evaldas said: "We are very proud that our son won first place. It's a bit of a pity that he can't participate in next year's competition again, because he will be walking."
