Massa claims pole position
Felipe Massa will start the Spanish Grand Prix on pole position after a dramatic end to qualifying.
The Ferrari driver beat world champion Fernando Alonso by just 0.03 seconds on his final run, to claim his third successive pole position.
Massa's Ferrari team-mate Kimi Raikkonen will start the race from third place, with McLaren's Lewis Hamilton alongside him on the second row.
Massa said: "It's becoming a habit, and it's very nice.
"That's three pole positions in a row with a really quick and great car, so I'm really happy with the job the team are doing.
"I just managed to put everything together, but we still need to improve the car even more."
Alonso, Raikkonen and Hamilton are currently joint-leaders of the drivers championship, with Massa five points behind, but the Brazilian may get the chance to close that gap in Barcelona.
